Retail Customer
A large New Zealand owned and operated retailer, commissioned Manux to provide an accounting, stock management and integrated EFTPOS point of sale solution for the retail of quality fashion apparel and foot wear.
We delivered that solution and continue to enhance it to support their evolving business needs. The online presence provided for the retailer has expanded from marketing catalogues to full ecommerce shopping platforms. Loyalty and gift card programs have been designed and delivered by Manux to allow the retailer to reward their customer base.
We continue to provide project management and general support to the retailer for all technology areas of their business – telephony, networks, hosting, cloud services, security, printing, administrative and shop support. In summary we take care of technology allowing the retailer to concentrate on doing business.
Publishing Customer
Manux was commissioned to develop a specialised multi currency, multi company debtors system that managed the sales contracts, invoicing and associated reports and was required to interface to a third party accounting system.
Over the intervening years the system has been continually evolved to meet the changing demands and growth of our customers business. This has included changing the accounting system it integrates with, providing data to their web site, introducing a sales commission module and expanding the multi currency functionality of the system.
In the past year the software has again been updated to facilitate their growth in overseas markets, which included adding the capacity to retrieve data from external data sources. Currently development is in progress to more fully incorporate the requirements of the distribution side of their business into the software
Agriculture Customer
Manux was commissioned to develop a software application to handle the core business of producing seeds on behalf of (mainly) overseas clients, contracting local farmers to produce the seed, managing the production of the seed and then finally shipping the seed back to the clients. The system includes functionality to track the costs against the farmer contract, produce reports to inform the client of the crops progress and generation of export documentation.
Initially the software had limited accounting functionality (and integrated with a separate accounting application) but over the years the software has grown to have more accounting functionality to cater for the specialised nature of the farmers relationship with our customer (a mixture of debtor and creditor activities). In the last two years the company has expanded and set up a separate but similar company who have also gone on to use the same application but has had additional functionality added to handle the different way it manages their farmer contracts.
Manux has changed the software so each company can use the same software but a database setting controls the business rules that are unique to each company.
